Santa Eulalia & the East - Ibiza

With a wealth of beaches to choose from in the east it’s hard to know where to start.

Dynamic Lives have selected their three personal favourites:

1. Santa Eulalia

Set beneath the lovely promenade, this is one of the best beaches in the area, an excellent choice for children or the less experienced swimmer with its clean clear shallow waters, a gentle slope down to the water and a vast choice of water sports.

This is a wide and long half moon shaped beach with fine white sand. There is a walkway, which is shaded by palm trees.  Here you will find benches perfect for watching the sunset or escaping the sun for a break. At the southern end of Santa Eulalia you will find an interesting place called Platje des Riu de Santa Eulalia – this is the only river in Ibiza with a pretty little harbour. The area is easily accessible to supermarkets and shops.

Location:Directly in the resort of Santa Eulalia
Activities: Pedaloes, sailing, banana boat, waterski, diving school. Stroll up the river and feed the ducks, boat trips form the nearby marina.
Eating: An excellent choice of restaurants and bars along the promenade and at the river estuary.

2. Cala Nova Beach

In a lesser inhabited part of Ibiza.

A wide, long and curvy sandy beach with shallow waters over clean, dark golden sand which extends far into the sea. The surrounding scenery is natural and unspoilt, there are rocky red cliffs and a hill crowned with pine trees for energetic walks. A very beautiful beach but we must warn you that in bad weather the spectacular breakers make the rip current especially dangerous – do be careful and pay attention to any warnings. A very popular spot for the dedicated surfers. On the left is the small cove of Cala Leña, to the right is Es Cana.

Location: Next to the resort Es Caná
Activities: Pedaloes
Eating: A well established restaurant on the beach offers a lovely ambience, whilst its new trendier neighbour offers a wide terrace and modern dishes.

3. Es Figueral Beach

Gorgeous crystal clear shallow waters and s soft fine sandy beach in front of rocky terrain, fig tree-lined slopes and views across to the private island of Tago Mago. The hills are great for walkers.

A great place to get away for peace and quiet and relaxation, you are spoilt with the soft golden sand.  The beautiful shallow waters are perfect for children and there is a good choice of watersports available.  Snorkellers will enjoy the experience in the areas offshore.  The Ibiza Express, is an open-air road train.  Extremely popular with Spanish and Italian families.

Location: 10 minutes drive from San Carlos
Activities: Pedaloes, windsurfing school, waterskiing, banana boat, diving school
Eating: Beach-front restaurants
