Sri Lanka is an amazing place for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are several dive sites along the island's coastline which give you an opportunity to see fantastic marine life such as coral, ship wrecks, myriad tropical fish, coral fish, angle fish and puffer fish. Hikkaduwa and Tangalla on the west coast are good places to dive, and the villa is ideally located for diving at Unawatuna on the south coast. Other snorkelling sites wirth visiting are the Coral Sanctuary in Hikkaduwa, Mirissa where the water is clear, and at Polhena near Matara. There are also several interesting wreck dives at Unawatuna around Galle, south of the island.
There is a wide range of dives available including open water, wreck dives, night dives and we can arrange courses for those who wish to learn. The Unawatuna Dive centre is highly recommended and the staff posses a though knowledge of the area including the famous Lord Nelson wreck dive.
