The municipality includes Sant Josep’s town.
There are the parishes of Sant Jordi, Sant Agustí and es Cubells, all of which I would describe as quiet picturesque villages with some beautiful churches.
And it doesn’t stop there, there are more tourist resorts all along the coastline and you will also find some of the most beautiful and remote coves, they are all kept beautifully for you to enjoy.
It really is a glorious landscape, in particular the two protected areas, the Salines Nature Park and the sea grass meadows, and the Vendranell Nature Reserve. Here you will find nature at its absolute best. There are some routes through almost untouched nature, where you can also see defending towers in lovely settings, for example the tower of d’en Rovira, located in Platges de Comte.
You mustn’t miss a trip to Sa Talaia, which is the highest woodland, and in fact the highest point on the island. It is located in the centre of the municipality, and arguably has one of the best views in miles.
Es Vedra is a spectacular extinct volcano, a must see. Es Vedrà is seen by many as one of the most magnificent places on Earth.
You can also enjoy important archaeological sites, such as the remains of the Phoenician settlement called Sa Caleta which is a World Heritage Site.
