Where to eat next to our favourite villas in Ibiza

Villa Samiya Vista - Cala Xuclar

There is a litany of positives that accompany a stay at Villa Samiya, but near the top of the list would be the hidden path that leads down to one of the island’s cutest coves and its accompanying chiringuito, that surely rates as one of Ibiza’s most romantic dinner destinations. Dine on shared platters of grilled local fish at candlelit tables with your feet in the sand and accompany with expertly constructed cocktails.

Villa Amor - Can Domingo

Located in a beautiful finca in an idyllic corner of San Josep, Can Domingo’s chef Giuseppe Vivacqua is responsible for preparing some of most authentic Italian cuisine on the island. Whilst his style of cooking largely stems from the Southern province of Calabria, there are nods to the best of the country’s cooking, reflected in the superb imported produce prepared alongside organic offerings from the restaurant’s garden.

Condé Nast Traveller recently cited the centrally located Santa Gertrudis as “Ibiza’s loveliest village” and it is hard to disagree. Family friendly, easy to navigate and with plenty to explore, it is a perpetually popular draw. Among the plethora of bars and restaurants to choose from, Cliff Grubin’s vegan venture Wild Beets stands out by virtue of providing an array of healthy delights, including many raw offerings and an exceptional selection of cold pressed juices, which can also be delivered to your villa.

Can Ricardo - Es Boldado

Perched high on the cliffs overseeing the mystical mount of Es Vedrà, Es Boldado’s rendition of the traditional Ibicencan dish of Bullit de Peix (a sublime fish stew followed by a course of rice cooked in the stock) is up there with the very best and is perfect for sharing. Be sure to request a table on the terrace and try to time for sunset to ensure the best possible experience.

Villa El Oasis - Es Xarcu

For the finest freshly caught fish and perfectly cooked local seafood, there are few better exponents than Es Xarcu. Given that the family run establishment has been operating on an unchanged formula for more than thirty years, it’s safe to say that they know what they are doing, all accompanied by excellent service, an impeccable wine list and served up in an unspoilt cove.

Villa Sarita - Sa Capella

Undoubtedly one of Ibiza’s most unique dining settings, Sa Capella is located on the top of a hill on the outskirts of San Antonio and within the walls of an ancient chapel, replete with flickering candles and a vaulted ceiling. The menu offers a mix of exceptionally well-executed Spanish and international crowd pleasers in an environment that effortlessly echoes the Ibiza of old.

Finca Imo - Giri Café

The village of San Juan is often touted as one of the most authentic on the island and for good reason. The ever-popular Sunday market attracts an eclectic audience that reflects the diversity of Ibiza’s residents and visitors and provides perfect people watching. Among the best perches is the terrace of the Giri Café, where the kitchen serves an ever-changing modern Mediterranean menu.
