First up is proximity to amenities but a decent distance from neighbours. Second, a sea view or beach access or both. And third and final, is of course, an architecturally beautiful space. Here’s a run down of some of George’s top areas for an Ibiza 2015 summer villa rental.
Sant Josep
Capital of the south. Sant Josep de Sa Talaia is a bustling village of boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. Here you can find everything you need. Crowned by Sa Talaia – Ibiza highest point – which offers the best view in the island, if you can bring yourself to climb it. Some of Ibiza’s best and iconic beaches are in this municipality such as Es Cavallet, Las Salinas, Cala Jondal, Cala D’Hort, Cala Conta and Sa Caleta. Sant Josep is close to the airport and Ibiza town and the perfect location for partying, beach clubbing or simply chilling out with the family.
Es Cubells
Perched on the cliff tops of Sant Josep, Es Cubells is actually just a church and a bar and an incredible view. The villas here are sublime. Cut into the rock face they afford never-ending views of the azure Med, real privacy and complete luxury. This is the place to come to get away from it all and enjoy the sun, sea and good company. Other than swimming in your villa pool George recommends popping down to the petite beach of Es Xarcu. Thatched umbrellas dotted along the shoreline and the excellent menu from the restaurant make this beach one of the loveliest and most tranquil on the island.
Porroig
This pretty cove is ringed by fishermen’s shacks and feels like stepping back in time to an era where things were simple, leisurely and relaxed. The water here is crystal clear and hardly visited by tourists. There’s no fancy restaurants or bars but luckily it’s not far from the beach clubs of Cala Jondal or Salinas.
