Los Enamorados

Better known for package holidays, Portinatx is perhaps an unlikely location for one of Ibiza’s most stylish boutique hotels to set up shop, though with several other promising projects predicted to soon take shape in that part of the north, it seems that the savvy owners are just ahead of the game.

Hï Ibiza

Synonymous with the island’s infamous nightlife for 27 years, the closing of Space left a sizeable hole in the island’s clubbing landscape, but with the team behind Ushuaia taking over, the new incarnation was always going to be in good hands. With fewer rooms, it may have lost a little of its eclecticism, but for those seeking the big room clubbing experience, the new venue is difficult to beat.

La Finca

Former Noma chef Boris Buono’s decision to relocate to Ibiza was another sure-fire signal that the island is moving in an evermore-impressive culinary direction. With his original Old Town location now focusing on tapas, La Finca has given him more space and opportunity to further display his ample talents.

El Portalon

Restaurateur Justin Mallet has teamed up with organic farmer, chef and author Anne Sijmonsbergen for a new venture located in the World Heritage listed environs of Dalt Vila. With a seasonal menu utilising the best produce that the island has to offer, 2018 is sure to see it further grow from what has already been a stellar first season.

La Granja

This tastefully converted farm melding Ibicencan architecture with hints of Moorish inspiration, encompassing an agroturismo with several guest suites, a members club, farm to table food and a diverse array of unique offerings, is an amalgamation of imaginative ideas that perhaps perfectly encapsulates contemporary Ibiza.

Pikes

With a long history of flamboyant decadence, Pikes is hardly a new kid on the block, though has undergone a subtle renaissance under the new ownership of Dawn and Andy McKay (Manumission/Ibiza Rocks), who shrewdly enlisted Sarah Broadbent (We Love) as musical director. Harvey’s summer residency remains the best nights on the island for those craving more intimate surrounds and an eclectic soundtrack delivered by one of the best in the business.
